Congress finally approved a bill that would allow the FDA to monitor tobacco companies. I think this is a step to cleaning up the mess this industry has left behind. Tobacco kills more people in the U.S then aids, car crashes, and murders. Many chemicals found in cigarettes, can also be found underneath your sink, the same chemicals that say don’t inhale. Many cigarettes smokers tend to chase after the same buzz that they first got from when they started smoking. That’s why they may crave one in the morning the most. What many of these smokers fail to realize is, that the rush they are chasing is the chemicals in the cigarettes saturating the oxygen in their blood stream. The more oxygen the body gets, the better it is able to fight off diseases and cancers. The body is made of 70% water, so that means if it has a p.h balance that is acidic, you’ll get sick easier. Many people who smoke tend to have bad diets and eating habits, combine that with smoking, you have disaster. I think they should get rid of a product like that, If marijuana and all that other mess is illegal, so should this garbage. So many people are without family members and loved one because of it. They didn’t start putting warning on boxes till the late 80’s, early 90’s. People should have been suing these companies, but because of lobbyist , congress got to make sure their pockets come before the American people.
