Real Welfare Reform

You want to know what don't make sense, paying for some one house, food, bills. Especially when that person don't work, pay taxes, basically contributing nothing to society. Most of the time when a person is on welfare and don't work, are usually on drugs. Does it make sense to give a junkie money, housing, and food when he or she doesn't pay taxes. I'm not saying everybody on welfare, cause I know some people on welfare that pay taxes. But the same goes for the prison system, you lock up these people who are looking for an easy way out. Most people who go to jail over a certain amount of times for a petty crime such as robbery, is usually looking for an easy way out. The easy route is usually jail, because all their basic excites are met. Does that make sense for the tax payer to house these people, that what happened in California. The state can't even afford basic state needs, cause all the taxes go to the greedy prison system, Its big money. Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar sees that, so he's making  the changes needed. I commend the terminator, he's not a hypocrite like the rest of them old men. Unlike them he's not selfish and cares for California, he took the stimulus money when he's state needed it. He didn't think with his ego, like the rest of his colleagues.

I agree. Why is it that 70% of employees in America have to take some type of drug test or drug screening at some point in there careers so they can make a living. Then, they pay taxes so that we have money to pay welfare. Then, people on welfare take the money and go buy drugs. I had an aunt on welfare and the 7th of every month, you could guarantee you weren't going to see here for a week, because she would get here welfare and go buy crack. I am all for trying to get people back on there feet because everyone could use help every now and again. We just need to reform it. If I need to take a drug test to earn the money for them, they should need to take one to receive it!
